how to reach · from kasol
kasol to jibhi
two of himachal's offbeat valleys, about 80 km apart. kasol is loud, social, and riverside in the parvati valley; jibhi is quiet, forested, and slow in the banjar valley. it's roughly a 3 to 3.5 hour drive between them, and pairing the two makes a satisfying week.

by bus
take a bus from kasol to bhuntar, change for a bus heading toward mandi or aut, and get off at aut. from aut, local transport runs into the banjar valley toward jibhi. cheap, but allow most of the day and an early start.
doing both valleys
kasol for the cafes and the crowd, jibhi for the quiet, is a classic pairing. either order works, though most people save jibhi for last because it's the gentler note to end on. the reverse trip, jibhi to kasol, takes about the same time.
one tip
if jibhi feels too quiet after kasol, give it a day. the pace is the point, and it usually wins people over by the second morning.
