odin hostel jibhi
odin hostel jibhi is a small backpacker hostel in shoja, about 8 km above jibhi on the road to jalori pass, not in jibhi village itself. that changes everything about who should book it, mostly for the better.

it's in shoja, and that's the point
shoja sits higher up the valley, closer to the pass, with wider views of the snow peaks than jibhi gets down in the trees. guests keep saying odin has the best view in shoja. what you give up is the walk-to-a-cafe life of jibhi village. you'll need a taxi for that, or simply not bother.
the food and the people
the reviews that glow are about the hosts and the kitchen: warm, easygoing staff and home-style food that guests single out. it's a small hostel with a small-hostel feel, closer to staying with people than checking into a brand.
what to know before booking
scores on booking sites are good rather than great, with facilities and value rated lower than the staff. that's fair for a simple hostel up a mountain road. wifi, parking and luggage storage are listed; reception keeps limited hours, so tell them your arrival time. carry cash.
why shoja works as a base
if your trip is about jalori pass, serolsar lake and raghupur fort, shoja puts you much closer to the trailheads than jibhi does. if it's about cafes and the river, stay in the village instead: madpackers or whoopers hostel are the obvious swaps.
